Sonora is the most powerful country in Sibyl, mainly due to the Empress' prescence there. It is not only the largest, but also the most populated of the countries with many different regions. It is currently ruled over by King Winton III in the capitol of Anessa.

Geography

Sonora, being the largest country in Sibyl, is comprised of multiple regions- each of which has its own unique biome.

Starting at the end of the spiral is Misty Ash Swamp, a dangerous wetland inhabited by all sorts of nasty critters and creatures. The swamp then bleeds into the Eversleeping Woods. These woods are so densly packed with trees and foliage that those who dare venture in and are lucky enough to make it back out say that the tree tops block out the sky, enveloping the forrest in a neverending night. To the south of the Eversleeping Woods is Catalajara, a well fortified city.

Cutting vertically through Sonora is the Vitigo Montes. To the west of the Montes, going down the middle of the spiral, is the Ceatta Steppe. These plainslands are called home by many nomadic communities and settlements. Going up it's back to Sonora's Crown, an icy mountain range at the northmost point of Sonora. South of that is Ma'habre, the necropolis. Further down Sonora's back is Susmar and Glendale, two of the larger cities in Sonora. The mass of water to the east of Glendale is the Lake of Foresight, home to the floating Archive, the base of operations for the Custodians.

To the south of the lake is Anessa, the largest city in Sonora and the capitol. It's surrounded by a light woods, colloquially called the Thieves Forrest. Anessa is the last stop on the way to the center of the spiral, to the City of Splendors. A sparkling city that rests on a ivory white, man-made island.
